Lucy R. is a retired business owner and Corporate Finance professional with over 40 years of analytical and management experience. Most recently, as the General Motors’ Authorized Dealer and sole Owner/Operator/General Manager of a Buick, GMC Truck dealership, she managed all operating and admin departments of the business franchise. In addition, her corporate career as a Project Manager and Corporate Financial Analysis and Control professional reflects a proven track record in program implementation, strategic business planning/implementation and expense management. She has excellent analytical skills and has identified and contributed to delivering millions of dollars in revenue and real costs savings from the corporate projects and strategic business initiatives she has collaborated. She has successfully managed multi-functional project implementations – across geographically diverse project teams – while delivering contracted client requirements, all within approved contract budgets. A strong work ethic contributes to successful multi-tasking, prioritization and conflict resolution skills.
Her vocational career includes business owner/operator, and corporate professional positions of ever increasing responsibility at J P Morgan Chase, Citicorp, and Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Co.
Lucy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Alabama A&M University, and her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University. She is also a graduate of the American Bankers’ Association Graduate Compliance School, University of Oklahoma, and received Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SSBI) from the Advanced Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) in Beavercreek, OH.
Currently retired, Mrs. Roberts is tax-law certified by the IRS VITA program. She enjoys preparing tax returns and providing tax counseling services for the elderly (TCE) – all services at no cost to the taxpayer – and she coordinates a team of like-minded certified volunteers. She actively participates in service ministries at her church, enjoys traveling and entertaining, and thrives on spending time with her family.
